Effective date: 27 March 2026  ยท  Governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia

Welcome to JotNotes (getjotnotes.com). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use JotNotes.

1. About JotNotes

JotNotes is an AI-powered note-cleaning tool operated from Australia. We help users tidy, restructure, and improve their written notes via the Anthropic API.

2. The Service

JotNotes offers a freemium AI note-cleaning tool:

JotNotes does not guarantee that AI-generated output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for how you use any output produced by the service.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Standard subscriptions are available on a weekly ($2 USD) or a monthly ($4 USD) basis. Payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing period. Payments are generally non-refundable, except as outlined in Section 8.

4. Account Registration

A Standard subscription requires creating an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. JotNotes is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to keep credentials secure. Account data is stored securely via Supabase.

5. User Content & Licence

By submitting notes or other content to JotNotes, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process your content solely as necessary to provide the service. You retain full ownership of your content. JotNotes does not claim any ownership rights over your notes and will never use your content to train AI models or share it with third parties beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

JotNotes uses browser local storage (not third-party tracking cookies) to track free cleans and save notes on your device between sessions. By using the website, you consent to this. You may clear local storage at any time via your browser settings, but doing so will reset your free clean count and remove any locally saved notes. JotNotes is not liable for any data loss resulting from clearing local storage.

7. Third-Party Services

JotNotes relies on third-party services to operate, including:

Occasional downtime or interruptions may occur due to these providers. JotNotes is not liable for interruptions, data loss, or failures caused by third-party services.

8. Refunds

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JotNotes is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. JotNotes does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or suitable for any intended use. You use the service entirely at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JotNotes and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

In no event shall JotNotes' total aggregate liability to any user exceed the total amount paid by that user in the 30 days immediately preceding the claim. This applies regardless of the form of action or basis of the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JotNotes and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
